Playing is the first activity newborn humans immerse themselves in besides fulfilling basic needs. There is no ultimate goal to be achieved: Playing is a process that is only kept alive by the player’s experience of it. This chapter provides an overview over existing concepts and current research on the experience of playing video games.
The Gaming QoE is a group of expert in gaming, video compression and netwrok, works together with aim to research on quality assessment of gaming services. This group tries to gather experts around the world to improve gaming streaming service and move forward with standardization and implimentation of models and methods for gaming quality assessements.
